Join Art Jewelry Forum for a jewelry-packed tour of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Oslo, Norway.
We'll start with three days in Copenhagen, Denmark, from the morning of September 25 until the evening of September 27. Our hotel base will be Skt Petri, where we will meet every morning and end every evening. Each day we'll start our itinerary around 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. ending around 9:00 p.m., after dinner. The itinerary is being planned with the assistance of Art Jewellery Copenhagen and includes visits to artists' studios, including those of Marie-Louise Kristensen, Annette Dam, and Kim Buck, among other artists, as well as visits to museums, galleries, and other venues with a focus on jewelry. But we'll also take time to enjoy Danish design, delicious food, and camaraderie with each other and the artists, collectors, and curators we meet along the way.
September 28 will be a free day, allowing you to arrange your transportation to Oslo on your own schedule. Perhaps you prefer to take an early-morning flight and get a head start in Oslo, or take a late-evening flight so you can visit that one place in Copenhagen you wanted to see before you leave.
Starting the morning of September 29 through the evening of October 1, we'll explore the jewelry culture of Oslo, Norway. Our hotel base in Oslo will be Hotel Continental, where we will meet every morning and end every evening. With the generous input of Norwegian Crafts, the itinerary is being arranged to include a choice selection of Norwegian artists, gallery visits--including Galleri Format with a special presentation of Liv Blåvarp's work--and behind-the-scenes museum visits.
COST: The total cost of the trip will be $2,700 and includes six lunches and six dinners inclusive of taxes and gratuities, bus transportation, and all museum and event entry fees. A nonrefundable $500 donation is included in the registration fee. The hotel cost is not included in the registration fee. Airfare is not included in the registration fee.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS: The hotel will be the hub of AJF's activities during our trip. It isn't required that you stay at the selected hotel, but be aware that we will be picking up and dropping off from that location each day. There is no block of rooms reserved so make your reservation directly through the hotel or through your personal travel agent as soon as possible to ensure availability.
CANCELLATIONS: The registration fee includes a $500 nonrefundable donation. If after registering for the trip you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund, minus the nonrefundable donation, if you notify AJF of your change of plans by September 1, 2018.
