Arkansas?! Yes, Arkansas.

Art Jewelry Forum (AJF) is excited to offer this program of jewelry, craft, art, and architecture in Little Rock and Bentonville, Arkansas, with a bit of political history thrown in for good measure.

Saturday, July 21 will be a full day in Little Rock, starting with a visit to the William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum, then a visit to jewelry artist Robert Baines's exhibition at the Arkansas Arts Center, led by the artist himself (in from Australia). Afterward, you'll enjoy a curator-led tour of the Arkansas Arts Center Collection with director Brian Lang, followed by lunch at the Arts Center cafe. The afternoon will include a visit to the home of Robyn and John Horn to view their extensive collection, then a tour of Marion Fulk's home and jewelry collection. At the end of the day, we'll have the opportunity to discuss the sights of the day over a leisurely dinner with each other and some special guests.

Sunday, July 22 will start and end in Little Rock, but all activities will be in Bentonville, the location of Crystal Bridges--the museum started by the Waltons of Walmart fame--and the Bachman-Wilson House by Frank Lloyd Wright. We'll enjoy each other's company and conversation during the three hour bus ride, then stretch our legs with a curator-led tour of Crystal Bridges, including an exhibition featuring Georgia O'Keeffe and one called The Garden, followed by lunch in Bentonville, and finally a tour of the Bachman-Wilson House. We will have an early dinner in Bentonville, then you have the option to stay the night in Bentonville and fly out of Bentonville or drive back to Little Rock after dinner and fly out of Little Rock--your choice.

As with past AJF trips, we recommend hotels that will act as hubs for pick-up and drop-off for our activities. In Little Rock, we recommend The Capital Hotel and in Bentonville, we recommend 21C Hotel.
